What might have been an ordinary day in the magic world of Disney took an interesting turn when this little girl recognized a sexist villain. Beauty and the Beast’s Gaston was the object of this less-than-affectionate pontification – but she sure is a badass in her delivery!
The name of our heroine is Isabella, who stands up for Belle. Gaston insists that he is going to marry Belle but Isabella, knowing the full story, reminds Gaston that that is simply not going to work.
The actor playing Gaston tries all of his most sexist lines, including, “I don’t know where all of this came from, but somebody needs to put her back in the kitchen where she belongs right now.”
Added to that he retorts, “Go do what you’re meant to do in life. No more thinking for you, you’ve already done enough of that.”
When Isabella poses for a pic with him, he sneaks one more dig in, saying, “smile like you’re making me a sandwich.”
But Isabella will have none of it. Without flinching, she insists, “YOU’RE not marrying Belle. You are never, ever, ever, ever!” He replies, tearing up, “Forever ever?” Isabella reminds Gaston that the Beast is a prince, a prince who is going to fight him and win.
Admitting defeat, Gaston says, “I’ve been outdone by a girl…a short one.”
Nice job, Isabella!
