The whole topic of depression and anxiety is something I find fascinating as it is all around us. The difficulty is that as these illnesses don’t show any physical symptoms such as a bruise or a cut, people can often struggle to recognise the symptoms. Spotting depression in a friend or family member can be a huge relief to that person. Just being there to show them you love and care about them can really help put them on the road to recovery. Granted it is not always an easy or even a quick journey but people really can get there.
In this comic strip by artist Solar Citrus, she really accurately portrays what is it to suffer from depression and how important it is for others to spot the signs and show lots of loving support.
