How to Support a Depressed Person

I saw this picture being shared around Facebook and I thought it was great. I have suffered from depression myself and too many times I’ve found myself having to explain that I just don’t know why I’m sad, I just am. It was extremely difficult for my boyfriend to understand and he was very worried about me. I had to ask him to try not to fix me, just leave me to it and he did. He still came to hang out with me even though we didn’t do much and I would randomly burst into tears. He didn’t make a big deal about it and eventually the wave passed.
