This is Bethany Townsend, a young girl that suffers from Chrons disease. She has suffered from the disease since the age of 3 but was misdiagnosed for many years. Things became at their most series when she had part of her bowel removed at the age of 11. As part of the ongoing treatment, Bethany has to wear a colostomy bag which has been something of an embarrassment for her has she grew up.
This week Bethany shared her story on social media accompanied with the above image showing her relaxing while on holiday with her husband. In the photo you can clearly see her colostomy bag but the difference now is that she is no longer ashamed.
