After reading about this Italian artist named Diego Fazio, I had to share his work with you. Using just pencils, he can create masterpieces that end up looking like real life high resolution black and white photographs. This kind of art is called Photorealism.
Unusually on this sketch he starts at the top left of the picture and works his way in. You can see he is moving onto the eyes as this image was taken.
This drawing is called Sensazioni and is so detailed and well drawn that is has left a lot of people saying it is a lie or done using Photoshop.
Taking over 200 hours to complete, the artist kept this photo diary showing the different stages of the drawing. We can now all know it is entirely genuine.
Now half the face is drawn, the image is really taking shape and already looks 100% real
