Just Because You Can’t See it, Doesn’t Mean it Doesn’t Hurt

Being someone that got a bit of a hard time at school, to me this video is really powerful. Every day thousands of kids at school are being bullied every day. It may be on Twitter or Facebook, over text messages or even physical abuse. However the abuse is inflicted, it still hurts and leaves emotional scars for years to come.

In this video produced by Beat Bullying, a young girl is clearly receiving a number of hurtful text messages. After each message a scar appears on her face representing the hurt these messages are causing her.

Her father tells her she looks beautiful that day because in real life he cannot see the scars she is feeling inside. As she walks to school she is joined by many more with the same scars.

Bullying is simply horrible and should stop. The kids doing the bullying are often the ones that are the most insecure. It is just a shame that people only realise this as they mature and grow up.

I think this message should be shared everywhere so we can all work together to beat the bullies. Stay strong guys.
