What you are about to see is the work of John Wilhelm, a 44 year old IT director. Wilhelm has a passion for photography and digital art. Some of his best work are photo manipulations of his girlfriend and their three young daughters, Lou, Mila and Yuna.
“Most of my images are heavily manipulated but not all of them are compositions. If an image works straight out of the camera I just improve it (beauty retouching, cleanup, level corrections, sharpening, colors and tones, emphasize light, etc.). What I really love is to bring different images together to create something completely new,” John said, as he explained his techniques.
The photos all have a kind of surreal feel to them which makes them so eye catching.
Using some computer wizardry he can combine huge creatures and his little girl to get this brilliant contrast.
