What an incredible story. Without any musical background whatsoever, 96-year-old Fred Stobaugh wrote an endearing ballad and submitted it to a songwriting contest at a local music studio. The focus of this love song was the love of his life, his late wife, Lorraine, a woman he met in the 1930’s. What Fred did not expect, or could anyone else, is how the studio responded.
