We all have items lingering around our houses that we only use rarely – the rest of the time they just take up precious space. But maybe not…here are some great ideas about how to dust off some things and put them to work!
#1 Heat up crayon marks and wax spills using your hair dryer – then simply wipe them away!

#2 Use lemons to keep apples and pears from browning.

#3 Straws are great to help firm up flowers with soft stems.

#4 Use a little olive oil on your stainless surfaces to keep them shiny – oh, and it’s good for removing make-up too.

#5 Stick a dryer sheet in your sneakers to keep the stink away.

#6 Wrap tomatoes in newspaper to help them ripen faster.

#7 Don’t dump those coffee grounds just yet – azaleas and rhododendrons love it as fertilizer!

#8 In addition to cleaning teeth and removing facial blemishes, toothpaste is also great at removing garlic or fishy odors from your hands.

#9 Got static? Use hand lotion.

#10 Baking soda is perfect for removing sticker residue.

#11 Use a little nail polish to secure a screw (I hear pink is best!).

#12 Smartly twist a rubber band to prevent the door from locking.
